Today, day two of framing continued on the AMAZING REMODEL. Things moved quickly as the first floor took shape.
I recall the house Next to the House that Jack Built. It also came to life in the framing stage. The bones appeared.
Framers translate a set of plans from paper to 3D. Beginning with the joists if not a slab foundation, the framers will form the floor. Then exterior and interior walls are erected, defining each room and passageway. Finally the trusses are placed and the roof is sheeted.
Framing shapes the final product of your home so it is important to understand how things will translate from a blueprint. Often when installed, elements appear different than imagined. At this stage, opportunities might appear for other structural elements. This is the time to incorporate them. Talk with your contractor to find the most effective way to handle such revisions and to agree to costs that may be incurred.
